Timestamps and dates bring such a throwback vibe to old photos. They're sweetly nostalgic, and if you're going for a vintage feel, it can look cool to have timestamps on your pictures. But today, in the digital era, they don't actually have a purpose and they can even serve as a distraction from the photo itself.
So many old cameras automatically put timestamps on photos, which is annoying because they are tough to delete on old photos.
However, there are a few tips and tricks you can use if you want to remove them from your selfies.
1) Open the photo you want to edit in Facetune. If the picture is really old, you may need to digitize it first.
2) From the main menu bar, select the Patch tool. If the timestamp is placed over several different backgrounds, you may need to do this in multiple stages. Swipe your finger over the bit you want to replace and use a matching area to cover this up.
3) Alternatively, depending on the text and the background, you might be able to use the Vanish tool. This will automatically erase the text you highlight.
4) If the removal isn't very precise, you could use the Paint functions to literally color over the timestamp. You can use the Picker option to exactly match the existing color.

Bonus tip: Of course, sometimes the easiest thing to do is just crop the photo so it doesn't include the timestamp. This can be done using the Crop feature. Simply cut the timestamp out, and you won't have to edit it out at all!
